I live in the Cummings Valley/Bear Valley area of Tehachapi and just came in from outside. There is a lot of smoke, but can't tell where exactly it's coming from. There's some ash fall as well (caught it floating down in my hand). Husband called from town, said power is out in downtown Tehachapi (unclear if this is related).
Does anyone have any information of a fire start in this area? I have turned on my KCFD scanner, but am not hearing anything yet.
