Re: [californiadisasters] Lowell fire

Sorry if I'm distracted, I'm also an admin on the local FB group and feeding info there and to other FB groups as well while listening to a hundred or so scanner channels.  And I'm NOT ADHD so it's work.  :oD

Aircraft shutting down for the night; BIG plans for attack in the morning (STILL ordering stuff).  From the descriptive of the hand/dozer lines in place, they've been BUSY and will be busy ALL night long...

Lowell has maintained a ROS of 1000/hour for 4000+ acres (should be slowing down now that the sun set).  That's friggin IMPRESSIVE, multiple structures in the way, PLENTY of fuel...  was 95F @ 7% a few hours ago (I'm 30-ish miles away).

The MMU fire (Willow?) is 300 of timber.  Each has high potential for ouch.

Two VLAT, 6 more tankers, I lost count of the strike teams.

They're still ordering stuff.

Second fire in MMU going big too.  300 acres, moderate ROS; pyrocumulus seen.

Looks like it is kicking butt. Anyone paying attention to this fire?
