Lake, CA-BDF-007894, Vegetation Fire, San Bernardino County, Update

Location of incident: Jenks Lake, Hwy 38, Barton Flats area

FRA

20,875 acres, 27% contained

The incident remains in Unified Command with USFS (Walker IMT2),

CALFIRE, San Bernardino Sheriff�s Department and as of 1500 today Big Bear Fire Department entered into Unified Command.

CA IMT 5 (Minton) has been mobilized.

5,712 residences, 1,428 residential/commercial structures threatened in areas of Rainbow, Lake Williams, Erwin Lake, Camp Oaks, Sugar Loaf and Baldwin.

Challenges continue to be roll-out, steep topography, drought stressed fuels and hazard limited visibility for aircraft.

 

Calgrove, CA-LAC-173220 Los Angeles County, Update

Location: Northbound 5 x 14 Fwy
SRA/LRA

200 Acres, 25% Contained

99�, 16% RH Wind out of the North

Visibility is 10 miles.
Threat to Stevenson Ranch.

Shelter has been established at West Ranch High School.

A large animal shelter established at William S. Hart Park in Newhall

Livestock shelter established at Pierce College in Pierce Hills.

North and South bound I-5 have been reopened.

Old Road remains closed.

California Institute of the Arts closed campus in Valencia.

A total of 1000 residents and approx. 500 homes have been evacuated.
Threat to 66KV power lines remains.

Type 3 Incident Organization (Jordan) is in command.

500 acres, 95% contained

Sky Ranch Road remains closed for firefighter safety.

500 structures, special use cabins, historical cabins, and camps in Jenks Lake, Barton Flats, Angelus Oaks still remain closed.

Highway 38 remains closed from Angelus Oaks to Lake Williams.

Update on acreage due to the most recent NIROPS flight and mapping.

Location of incident: Park Hill Rd. X Las Pilitas Rd.

Jurisdiction: SRA

1800 Acres, 95% contained

Mop up and patrol efforts continue, ensuring limited water use guidelines.

Mitigate hazard trees and continue suppression repair.

Incident transitioned back to a local unit.

500 structures, special use cabins, historical cabins, and camps in Jenks Lake, Barton Flats, Angeles Oaks still remain closed. An additional 500 structures could be threatened over the next 24 hours

Highway 38 remains closed from Angelus Oaks to Lake Williams.

Location of incident: Acacia Way X Corporation Court

164 acres, 80% contained

 

Park Hill, CA-SLU-006113, Vegetation Fire,  San Luis Obispo, Update

Location of incident: Park Hill Rd. X Las Pilitas Rd.

Jurisdiction: SRA

1800 Acres, 90% contained

Damage assessment has been completed

Mop up and patrol efforts will continue ensuring limited water guidelines.

Mitigate hazard tress and continue suppression repair.

Incident will transition back to a local unit from XSL County Type 3 IMT at 0800 on 06/24
