The quake measure at 2.7 magnitude, according to the USGS, with an epicenter 10 miles south southeast of Alicevillle in Pickens County. The quake occurred at 4:01 a.m.
The USGS originally measured the quake as a 2.2 with an epicenter 29 miles west southwest of Tuscaloosa. It's now listed as 31 miles from Tuscaloosa.
It's the third earthquake detected in the area since November.
The quake took place two kilometers (1.2 miles) below the surface, according to the USGS.
Originally, the nearest town to the quake was Eutaw in Greene County, which was 12 miles away.
There have been no immediate reports of the quake being felt, according to the Greene County EMA.
