Structures threatened at Hogue Ranch, Kinsman Flat and a conifer plantation.

Power remains out in the Mammoth Pool Area.

Service power lines have been damaged with additional threatened.

A total of 12 campgrounds have been evacuated.

Spotted Owl and Pacific Fisher habitats has been damaged or destroyed.

San Joaquin air pollution control district continues to monitor air quality.

Impacts have been reported as far south as Bakersfield.

El Portal Fire, CA-YNP-0083 Yosemite National Park, Mariposa Co.

Location: Near Highway 140 and community of El Portal,

3,545 Acres, 34% contained.

Continued closure of Big Oak Flat Road.

Continued evacuation of Foresta.

Continue mop-up and mitigation of hazards in the community of Foresta.

Construct hand and dozer lines.

Preparations are being made for potential firing operations.

Night operations restricted to fire monitoring due to

steep terrain and hazards presented by falling trees and snags.

Fire has the potential to be influenced by evening thunderstorms

Service power lines have been damaged and more are threatened.

Power lines in the area have been deactivated.

 

El Portal Fire, CA-YNP-0083 Yosemite National Park, Mariposa Co.

Location: Near Highway 140 and community of El Portal,

CIIMT 5 (Joseph).

3,060 Acres, 19% contained.

Continued closure of Big Oak Flat Road.

Evacuations continued of communities of and Foresta.

Repopulation of evacuees from the community of El Portal will begin 0900.

Merced Grove of Giant Sequoias within Yosemite National Park still threatened.

Commitment of forest service air and ground resources.

Fire is being suppressed by constructing handline and using MIST tactics.

Fire behavior was minimal with creeping and smoldering in understory.

Occasional fire encountered receptive fuel beds.

Aircraft continue to be used to assist firefighters with water drops when needed.

Kelley Fire, CA-MMU-013131, Stevenson, Merced County

Location: River Rd. X Kelley Rd, Stevenson CA

LRA

Type 3 IC (Felix)

1,100 acres, 90% contained.

No 209 has been submitted for the morning period.
