Every day this week is a C-day; be prepared for all your classes every day!

Just a reminder, the State required End of Course Exams are happening Monday through Thursday. Be sure to eat breakfast and lunch each day and get a good night of rest each night.

Yearbooks are here. You may pick up your book during lunch today in the ROTC room. You must have your student ID to pick up your book. You may also purchase a book for $70.00 during lunch.

Hawkword Moments, VVHS's Literary Magazine is finished! Come by room H219 to pick up your copy for $5. If you submitted a piece of art to the magazine, come by and pick it up.

eCADEMY's make up EOCs are TODAY, on a first come, first served basis—space is limited.

At 3:00 TODAY, eCADEMY will take the first 100 students who show up at eCADEMY for eCADEMY make up EOCS.

At 5:00 TODAY, eCADEMY will take the first 100 students who show up at eCADEMY for eCADEMY make up EOCS.

When space is filled in each time slot, all others will be turned away. Please take care of this requirement.

Attention all Wing Squad members! Don't forget this Wednesday, April 30th, we will be having our potluck in H hall after school at 3:30! Also, don't forget to bring food, drinks, or an item to share! See you Wednesday Wing Squad!

Math NHS will have our last meeting on Wednesday, April 30 in Ms. Conell's room F103. We will be serving ice cream  to celebrate all of our accomplishments this year.  Math NHS members please plan on attending and picking up your letters and bars for your participation this year.  Math NHS will also be helping out with Chamiza elementary's Math Night on Wednesday, April 30 from 5:30 to 7:00.  We need at least 6 volunteers.  Please sign up outside F103 if you can help.

There will be a mandatory BSU meeting on Thursday May 1st in room H-206.  In addition, the BSU awards ceremony will be held on May 1st in the PAC from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Operation Smile will be holding a Rummage Sale on Saturday, 5/3. We are need of items for the sale. Please clean out your homes and bring your "gently used" items to Mr. Zimmerman's room, H115 this week!  If you have items that need to be picked up from your home, please let Ms. Bullard know (A101).

All Spanish Honor Society members the first meeting with the NEW Spanish Honor Society members is Wednesday at 2:30 pm.  Seniors will receive their 'goodbye' and juniors and new sophomores will elect officers. That's Wednesday, April 30th at 2:30 pm.

The library will be closed from May 5th until the end of the semester.  Students and teachers need to make other arrangements for their library needs.  All library books are due now.

Hey Hawks!  First of all, congratulations to all that signed up for the Run for the Zoo--Volcano Vista won the high school competition once again this year!  Those who signed up for the Run for the Zoo, please pick up your race packets from Coach Nord or Mrs. Kowalski in C109 by Friday, May 2nd--race day is this coming Sunday!!!  See you there!

Seniors:

Seniors! Please don't forget to order your final transcript to the college of your choice. Make sure you write FINAL on your request and there is a one dollar fee per transcript. Without your final transcript your college may put a hold or drop your classes. Avoid stress and delay and order your final transcripts in the main office. Transcripts will not be available until June so order before you graduate. Any questions please see Mrs. Ewing in D202.

ATTENTION SENIORS!!!  DEADLINE TO PAY ALL FINES/FEES DUE BY THIS FRIDAY, MAY 2 TO THE BOOKROOM.

COUNSELING:

  • Any senior who has received a scholarship please let our career counselor Mrs. Baca-Dory know so that we can place the information into the honors program.

  • Seniors, are you interested in an internship in Washington, DC next school year while earning college credit?  American University is offering this unique program for high school graduates with a focus on American Politics, Global Business and Trade, or International Affairs.   Visit the Career Center, Rm. E224 for more information.

  • Counselors will be available to register students for Summer School in the Academy offices beginning May 2, 2014 through May 23, 2014 during school hours. This year summer school is being offered at La Cueva HS, Rio Grande HS, eCademy and the Career Enrichment Center (CEC). This year's cost is $250 per ½ credit.   • B. Tennis ­- District Tennis Wednesday-Saturday at Sierra Vista

  • G. Tennis ­- District Tennis Wednesday-Saturday at Sierra Vista

  • G. Track ­– Metro Track Thursday and Friday at Milne both days

  • B. Track ­–Metro Track Thursday at Wilson and Friday at Milne

  • Golf – Thursday have District Tournament at Desert Greens
