A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck near La Habra Friday night, and was felt across Orange County.

The quake hit 1 mile south of La Habra at 9:09 p.m. It was preceded by a magnitude 3.6 quake in the same area at 8:03 p.m.

It was followed by a magnitude 3.4 quake at 9:11 p.m., and a 3.6 quake at 9:30 p.m.

There were no immediate reports of major injuries, although Metrolink trains wer slowed or stopped for inspection.

About 20 soda bottles and five glasses fell down and broke behind the bar at Tony's Original Deli in Anaheim, said manager Laura McKinley.

The deli was in the middle of hosting a fundraiser for Bruno, the police dog that was recently shot in the line of duty. Some people screamed. About 75 people were there, including about 10 police officers who warned patrons to stay away from the windows.

Michelle Mora, who was at the fundraiser, said she clung to the bar.

A water-main break also was reported in Fullerton, at Gilbert and Rosecrans.

Some rides were temporarily halted at Disneyland.

As is standard procedure at the parks, the attractions were "cycled out for inspection" -- those on the rides during the quake were allowed to complete them, but new passengers couldn't immediately board.

Disney workers took visual inspections of the rides before guests were allowed to again board them.

"It's south of the Whittier fault," said Bob Dollar, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey. "There are a number of subsidiary faults in that area," although scientists could not say which fault the quake occurred on immediately afterward.

He also said about 20 aftershocks followed the quake within about an hour.

"We're having a pretty good aftershock sequence, and we'll probably have more felt quakes tonight," he said.

In Fullerton, Donna Johnson reported damage in her home in Coyote Hills, including broken glass and dishes, a torn fireplace mantle and damage to a fireplace.
