Re: [Geology2] Fwd: Spectacular photos of Alaska's shrinking glaciers



I noted significant reduction in only 5 years.   Mendenhall was clearly at least 100' reduced at the lake and thinner (shorter?) up the slope.   Only one iceberg in the lake, not a dozen or more; drastic changes. 

Alaska and Glacier NP need to be visited soon, or wait a millennia for new glaciers.

Got a tip on a post made today on the Weather Channel's webpage of a photo story about Alaska's shrinking glaciers - now and then pics that span over 100 years - incredible changes! Check out at least some of the pictures for all of the dramatic changes
