CA-STF Rim Fire

Wilkins NC IMT1; Lawshe CA IMT1 Unified Command

179,481 acres, 20% contained, No expected containment date.

Fire will continue to be very active through the late evening with spread farther to the east of Yosemite National Park. Fire will continue to spread east of Cottonwood Meadow and Aspen Valley areas. Fire growth will continue as fire backs down to control lines between Pilot Ridge and Hazel Green Ranch.
Rapid fire growth and extreme fire behavior continue to hamper suppression effects.
Control problems related to spotting on burnout operations.
Orders for resources in support of contingency groups for Tuolumne City, Twain Harte, and Long Barn continue.
Imminent threats to areas north of Old Yosemite Rd (Forest Rd 2S01) with mandatory evacuations issued.

CA-SQF Fish Fire

Reidy, NM IMT 2

2,000 acres 7% contained, No expected containment

The fire will spread primarily to the northwest, toward Angora Mountain, east towards Trout Meadows and northeast towards Hole in the Ground. 
Threat to Trout Meadows Guard Station, private and FS cabins, Cultural Resources, Little Kern Golden Trout and Trout Meadows trail.
Three large spot fires between eastern flank and the Kern River burned and due to accessibility and size will require a change in tactics for the eastern flank of the fire.

CA-KNP Windy Peak
Suarez, Type 4 IC

501 acres  20% Contained

Fire continues to flank to the north and west of the river. Most fire spread in direction of natural fire breaks at upper elevation.
Short runs through brush with occasional single tree torching and short range spotting.
Continue to hold fire north of Middle Fork of the Kings River, monitor and improve handlines where necessary.

CA-BDF Little Fire

Dinkel, Type 3 IC

97 acres, 85% contained, Expected Containment 09/08/2013

Fire is burning in rough terrain and along the fire boundary.
Fire will be monitored during night shift due to safety concerns with snags and terrain.
