[Geology2] On the Niobrara

With approval from Lin I've uploaded to the Files section an article I wrote a few years ago about finding a mosasaur in the Niobrara Formation of Western Kansas. It was originally published in Fossil News, an on-line subscription magazine that appealed to fossil hunters and enthusiasts, and contained personal accounts of field experiences as well as descriptions of specific fossils and discussions of a variety of topics in paleontology. Publisher/paleontologist Lynne Clos applied her considerable graphic and design skills to produce an elegant magazine, full of color and vivid design, and I felt lucky to have my story printed there. The final issue of Fossil News appeared about a year ago, much to my dismay, but I don't think the stories have to die with the magazine so I will be sharing several articles here for anyone who has an interest in fossils and deep time. Layout and formating on this one were done by Lynne Clos.
