CA-SHF Coal Fire. The fire is contained at 241 acres. Powerlines are down in the area with approximately 32 poles damaged or destroyed. 150 residences are without power and will not have power restored until 9/26/2012.

CA-SHF Coal Fire. 241 acres. 75% contained. Fire behavior was minimal due to containment lines and lack of wind. Mop up continues.

CA-SHF Coal Fire. 235 acres. 50% contained. I-5 has been re-opened and all evaucations have been lifted. Initial attack resources are concentrating on completing line construction and securing fire lines to prevent the fire from reaching structures in the area. Estimated containment on 9/23.

CA-SHF Coal Fire. The fire is reported to be holding at 200 acres. The flank closest to structures is reported to be less active.

CA-SHF Coal Fire. I-5 is reported to be closed at this time. An unknown number of structures in the area are threatened. Fire is estimated at 100+ acres in grass and timber.

CA-SHF Coal Fire. The fire is located at Gilman Rd and I-5 and is reported to be burning on both sides of I-5. No estimate of size. Forest and CALFIRE resources are responding.

CA-SHF Bagley Fire. Continue suppression repair efforts with: Graders, Excavator, Dozers, Back Hoes, Watertenders and Hand Crews, minimize erosion and sediment movement on and around the fire line. Visible interior smoke is generated by deeply imbedded heat within thick duff layers, stump holes and large stationary fuels.

CA-NOPS Fire History. In 1987, between 9/20 and 9/29, there were 3 large USFS fires (100 ac+) in NOPS, with the largest being 3,000 acres. Severity indices at that time were: 1000hr FM = 10%, 100hr FM = 7-9%, ERC = 71. Most recent observations from the same stations shows 1000hr FM = 6%, 100hr FM = 5%, ERC = 91.

CA-KNF Red Fire. The fire is holding at 30 acres.

New fire on the Klamath National Forest. Red Incident, Marble Mountain Wilderness - reported to be 30 acres.
