[californiadisasters] EARTHQUAKES OF 1952: Locals share their memories - Video - BakersfieldCalifornian.com

Today is the anniversary of our 1952 Earthquake here in Bakersfield/Kern County. My mom was a kid back in '52 and she has been telling me about it this morning. How her and her sister's beds were rolling all around their bedroom during the quake. They lived on a ranch in Wasco near Bakersfield at the time and there was a hedge that surrounded their home and during the aftershocks you could see the hedge rolling up and down like waves in water.
