CAL EMA has 11 Southern California personnel in Essex County NY supporting recovery efforts from Hurricane Irene.

Florida; Mentone, San Bernardino County

67 acres, 80% contained. There was no movement in the last operating period. There is heavy mop-up from downed fuels in an unattended citrus grove.

 

Motor;  El Portal, Mariposa County

5,231 acres 60% contained, All lines should be completed today with mop-up and rehab operations beginning.

 

Wells;  Mojave National Preserve, San Bernardino County

1,584 acres, 70% contained,

 

Pala;  Pala, San Diego County

200 acres, 50% contained, new acreage due to better mapping capabilities.

 

Ridge,  130 acres, 90% containment
