RE: [californiadisasters] Acom System Chosen for L.A. Co's New Metro Fire Comm Center

We’re used to it.. the press RARELY gets it right..

Bottom line is the facility is new. It’s a large building that houses a fire station, the City of Los Angeles Emergency Operations Center which is run by the Emergency Management Department. LAPD also has a footprint in the building. The Dispatch Center is one of the last projects in the building.

Heh, heh. It took LAFD 30 years to get over the exposure "Emergency!" gave
to the County FD (for those 30 years or more they had on the apparatus, "Los
Angeles /City/ Fire Department").

So now the press is confusing the two again. (Gonna be a little hard to get
along with the client if you're gonna call them by the wrong name!)
