Well I know where that info came from... I heard (and everybody else listening on the scanner) the I.C. estimate the fire at 200 acres and that the forward progress was stopped with some problems with lateral spread along parts of the flanks. He no doubt couldn't see the whole thing and once they mapped it the acreage was revised. Forward spread stopped is not necessarily containment and that certainly was not the case here.
