The Russian Kola Superdeep Borehole

The Russian Kola Superdeep Borehole was the deepest hole drilled into
the Earths surface. A number of boreholes were drilled but the deepest
was SG-3 that reached 12,262 meters (40,230 feet or over 7.5 miles). A
number of startling unexpected geological features were discovered that
changed or challenged the expected or guest models.

Water was discovered deep inside the earth's crust, large amounts of
hydrogen gas, fossils were found and also the temperature was much
higher than expected. Another discovery was that the famous layer
expected due to seismic studies and mainstream theory was not
found.......
