[californiadisasters] Weak Santa Ana Wind Event

We are getting a mild Santa Ana Wind event at present and this should continue into tomorrow.

The lack of rain since before Christmas and now the recent series of Santa Ana Wind events is causing the fuels and the soils to really start drying out.

It seems like only a matter of time with the current trend before we start seeing some wind-driven wildfires in SoCal and even parts of CenCal.

The green grasses won't be burnable until the the Spring but the dead and decadent fuels in the brush and dead trees is close to if not already at the point of burning now.

This from the NWS Oxnard-Los Angeles:

"DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN... WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS WILL AFFECT MUCH OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES LATE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY."
