Re: [californiadisasters] Vandenberg AFB--veg. fire

Obviously, this is all top-secret info, since we're hearing it from an
Aussie. ;)

An early report mentioned "Bear Creek Road" and "Manzanita Road", so I
Google-mapped "bear creek road, lompoc, ca, us". I can see that Manzanita
Road is quite a way from the beach and the railroad (which is the closest
"improvement" to the beach), so don't know why trains were stopped, unless
they're concerned about the unexploded ordnance. I don't know which way the
fire is burning, nor the actual point of origin other than Bear Creek Road.

No report since the aircraft were grounded for the night. It's still a
little early here for them to be getting out a report.
