They don't exist at all? Wow.. we had them both back in Houston and then here in Milwaukee. And yep they were lahtnin boogs. up here in Milwaukee they are fireflies. smile..

But they're sending out messages in Morse code…  ;-)  When I was in NC I was corrected in what to call them.  They're lah-tnin boogs.  Great fun, miss them, the boys loved to chase them.  They don't exist on the left coast.

None of the fireflies in my backyard and trees have ever started flashing together, nor any of the other items mention fall into step.  Maybe I have very independent fireflies.
