Re: [californiadisasters] Red Fag Warnings.

"Upper deserts", more often "High deserts", are upper both in latitude and
elevation. Essentially, north of the San Gabriel and San Bernardino
Mountains (I-10 is south of mts, Victorville, Twentynine Palms are desert).
(Death Valley is low elevation, in fact, below sea level, but most of the
area is more like 1000 to 2000'.)

"Low deserts" are the opposite, include Imperial County (E of San Diego
Co.--red flag on this map), Borrego Springs; Riverside Co., incl. Palm
Springs, Indio.
